1. Why is it important to use Oil Additives?

   Oil Additives helps your motor oil in eight different ways. Motor oil does more than just lubricate. It helps to seal piston rings, acts as a hydraulic fluid for hydraulic lifters, cools the metal surfaces of moving parts, cleans the engine, suspends the dirt until it can be drained out with the used oil and helps to keep the seals and gaskets soft and pliable to eliminate oil leaks. If you use a motor oil additive you should look for an oil additive that helps to compliment your oil in all of the different functions that it does.

   Several oil additive companies use “super lubricants,” as they call them, to claim improvements in their products. AUTO SOLUTIONS® uses the same additives that are already in motor oils but we put them into a perfectly balanced concentrate to compliment any motor oil. At least one major automobile manufacturer has stated that using Teflon® type oil additives in their engines will void the engine warranty.

   Viscosity or thickness of the oil additive is important when purchasing an oil additive. All automobile manufacturers are using lighter, thinner oils in modern engines. Using a thick oil additive will not meet the oil specifications of modern engines. AUTO SOLUTIONS® Oil Additive is a thin light weight consistency.

   We recommend using AUTO SOLUTIONS® Oil Additive with every oil change or every 3,000 miles.

2. Why is it important to use Gas Additives?

   Gas Additive will help to keep your fuel system clean and efficient. Major automobile manufacturers have proven that some premium or high octane fuels do not keep your fuel system clean all of the time. Test studies show that some high octane fuels can cause more deposits in the fuel inductive system than lower octane fuels do. This is why all automobile manufacturers recommend the use of fuel that meets the recommended octane requirement of the engine. Using higher octane fuels only cost more money and some experts say they can cause lower gas mileage.

   AUTO SOLUTIONS® Gas Additive can save you money. Using 87 octane gasoline and AUTO SOLUTIONS® Gas Additive on a regular basis versus paying an additional 15 to 20 cents per gallon for premium gasoline could save you $140.00 or more per year. 3. Why is fuel and induction system cleaning important to do?

   Maintaining a clean fuel system is essential for maximum fuel economy and performance. Modern fuel systems do not have the adjustments that older systems had to correct drivability concerns caused by dirt and wear. Auto Solutions provides many different services depending on the needs of the vehicle.

   Basic cleaning service should include:

   • Chemically cleaning the throttle body assembly
   • Chemically cleaning the idle air control system
   • Testing and adjusting all linkages and checking for proper throttle operation
   • Cleaning the induction system
   • Adding chemical cleaners to the fuel tank to clean the tank, pump and fuel lines
   • Checking the computer engine controls for proper operation
   • Road testing the vehicle for proper operation and performance

4. Why should you change your fluids?

   Fluids provide lubrication to gears, bearings, shafts and other internal components. Heat, pressure and friction slowly breakdown the additives in these vital fluids, in addition, small particles of debris from normal wear mix with the fluid. Once the fluid is contaminated with debris and the additives are depleted these major components are no longer protected and can wear out prematurely. Changing these fluids extends vehicle life and limits break downs.

5. What is total fluid exchange?

   Traditional fluid services called “drain and refill” only change about half of the fluids necessary. With a total fluid exchange all of the fluid is changed, using special equipment designed to work with modern vehicles. Chemical cleaners are added to the old fluids before removal providing complete cleaning of debris. Additive packages insure proper protection.
